Daniel J. Marovitch, Principal

Attorney Dan Marovitch is dedicated to fighting for his clients, whether against unfair, deceptive, or abusive business practices, in whistleblower actions addressing fraud against the government, or to obtain redress for personal injury or monetary loss.

A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.A. in anthropology), Dan worked briefly as an archaeologist before attending the Loyola University Chicago School of Law for his J.D.  He is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and has appeared pro hac vice in U.S. District Courts across the country.

  • Lowe v. CVS Pharmacy, Inc., No. 14-3687 (N.D. Ill. filed May 20, 2014) (representing consumers in putative nationwide class action alleging violations of state and federal telemarketing laws);
  • Miller v. ResCom Energy LLC, No. 13-5058 (E.D. Pa. filed Aug. 28, 2013) (counsel in putative class action against alternative energy supplier and marketer for violations of TCPA’s National Do Not Call Registry and company-specific do-not-call regulations);
  • Woodman v. ADP Dealer Services, Inc., No. 2013 CH 10169 (Cir. Ct. Cook Cty., Ill. filed Apr. 16, 2013) (appointed co-lead counsel in class action based on unsolicited text messaging to consumers' cell phones);
  • Atanasov v. GoLive! Mobile, LLC, No. 2013 CH 8460 (Cir. Ct. Cook Cty., Ill. filed Mar. 28, 2013) (co-lead counsel in class action alleging fraudulent mobile content charges);
  • Russo v. MiraMed Revenue Group, LLC, No. 12-9501 (N.D. Ill. filed Nov. 28, 2012) (representing consumer in putative nationwide class action alleging claims under the TCPA, settling on an individual basis);
  • Odom v. Car-X Associates Corp., No. 2012 L 5490 (Cir. Ct. Cook Cty., Ill. filed May 18, 2012) (represented individual consumer in lawsuit alleging, inter alia, violations of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act);
  • Lowe v. Diversified Consultants, Inc., No. 12-2009 (N.D. Ill. filed Mar. 20, 2012) (represented consumers in putative nationwide class action alleging violations of the TCPA and FDCPA, settling on an individual basis).
